NxtUp...PS3
"Home"
I have been using the beta version of this 'game' and as thrilled as I was, now not so much.
There is not a lot to do. You are able to play billiards, bowl, play some video games and 'dance' with other avatars. The loft or home you live in is cool There you are able to redecorate and buy new items at the 'mall' for you pad. The mall has a few other stores to buy new clothes to outfit your avatar to make it more unique.
Players walk around ask each other where they are from. Most use text, but some use
headsets and you may hear random speech about anything. At times there is some animosity towards other players that may or may not be female especially if the female character says "me so horny". The environment is somewhat homophobic. When you sign off and leave your character in the "Central Plaza', don't be surprised to find your character being virtually assaulted by another player. On one a entry there was a character with an icon over his head that read 'signed off' and behind him was another character humping him. At another instance my avatar took a seat on a bench and another male player sat in front of my avatar as if he were performing an oral act.
To sum it up, Home will be full of kids, phobes and idiots, but there may be a few
players that are there to interact or look around. Last week another guy and I
played a game of pool. We spoke via text and interacted about the game and I thought that was kind of cool. A far cry from the black & white pong.
