Modern Mosque
"Danish firm BIG has designed the first purpose mosque for Denmark's capital, Copenhagen as part of a mixed used 124,000 square metre development.
Backing the development is the Muslim Council of Denmark, a coalition of 13 different Muslim organizations with a total of 40,000 members. Although the massing of the building is undoubtedly that of a mosque, it's a resolutely futuristic approach, perhaps mindful of how controversial a more traditional looking building could be."
