I know but, they needed to thin the herd. We've got Robin, Red Robin, Red Hood and Nightwing. Plus Batgirl, Batwoman and Huntress around. Not to mention probably cherry cola Robin, girl Robin, wango tango Robin and cool ranch Robin. But I think this was the wrong Robin to get rid of since he was actually Wayne's biological son. And DC comics/movie industry always hates the gay duo vibe that Batman and Robin creates. So a father/son Batman and Robin made more sense for that problem I thought. But...oh wells, let the gay rumors begin again! :D
